Roxana Village Council authorizes bill payment

The Roxana Village Council met Jan. 3 to authorize bill payment.

PROCEEDINGS OF THE ROXANA VILLAGE COUNCIL

January 3, 2017

Pledge of Allegiance.

The regular meeting of the Roxana Village Council was called to order by Mayor Oller at 6:30 p.m. in the Council Room of the Roxana Village Hall, 400 S. Central, Roxana, Illinois.

Mayor Oller asked the clerk to call the roll. The following members were present: Giddings, Kelly, Diveley, LaTempt and Reynolds. Ford was absent.

A motion was made by Diveley and seconded by Giddings to approve the minutes of the regular meeting of 12/19/16. The vote was:

AYE: Giddings, Kelly, Diveley, LaTempt, Reynolds

NAY: None

Motion carried.

A motion was made by Diveley and seconded by Reynolds to approve the Treasurers report. The vote was:

AYE: Giddings, Kelly, Diveley, LaTempt, Reynolds

NAY: None

Motion carried.

A motion was made by Kelly and seconded by Reynolds to approve the Bill List and authorize payment of Bill List. The vote was:

AYE: Giddings, Kelly, Diveley, LaTempt, Reynolds

NAY: None

Motion carried.

Chief Cunningham noted that the Police department would be doing interviews for Police Clerk next week for six candidates. The question was presented to the Board regarding having FGM Architects come back in to talk with the Board regarding the new Village Hall construction.

Superintendent Wilkey noted that the cameras at the waste water treatment plant would be installed by Wegman tomorrow. He also noted that there were some contamination found underneath the fuel tank at the old sewer plant and would be having a meeting on Thursday with EPA regarding the same.

A motion was made by Diveley and seconded by Giddings to adjourn to Executive Session for Collective Bargaining with no action to follow. The vote was:

AYE: Giddings, Kelly, Diveley, LaTempt, Reynolds

NAY: None

Motion carried.

The meeting adjourned at 6:44 p.m.

The meeting re-convened at 7:42 p.m.

With no further business to be brought before the council, a motion was made by Kelly and seconded by Reynolds to adjourn. The motion carried with all present voting aye.

The meeting was adjourned at 7:43 p.m.
