Rep. C.D. Davidsmeyer (R-Jacksonville) has earned the 2017 Public Service Award from the Association of Illinois Electric Cooperatives for his efforts in the rural electrification program, according to a press release.
“The electric cooperative program in Illinois has a great friend in Rep. Davidsmeyer,” Alisha Anker, manager of the Menard Electric Cooperative, said. “His concern for rural electric members during his time in the Legislature has had a positive impact for the future.”
According to the release, Davidsmeyer has proven himself a dedicated public servant in terms of furthering rural electrification since become a House member in 2012. Davidsmeyer is the Republican spokesman for the Energy Committee. He also serves on the Appropriations-Higher Education, Economic Justice & Equity, Financial Institutions and Insurance committees.
