The calls in Freeburg included 28 fires - 21 structure fires, one vehicle fire and five other fires. The fire department also responded to one call for ruptures, explosions or overheating.
In all, the department saw $119,000 in fire loss - or about $4,250 per fire.
The department also received 36 false calls.
