Alton Historical Commission met September 19.

Here is the minutes as provided by the commission:

Members Present: Doug Bader, Monica Mason, Diane Plummer, Charlene Walker

Members not Present: Mary Anderson, Chase Green, Jonas Janek

Others Present: Scott Ramage, Sheila O’Brien, Michael Tarabulski, Deanna Barnes,

Deputy Director of Building & Zoning, Sam Shaw, Building Inspector and Becky Brunaugh,

Secretary

The meeting of the Alton Historic Commission was called to order by Doug Bader at 7:02 p.m.

on September 17, 2017.

Diane Plummer moved to approve the minutes for September 5, 2017 as presented. Monica

Mason seconded the motion. Motion passed unanimously.

Applications:

Scott Ramage presented the application for 204 State St. He is proposing a sign that will be a

black, boxed awning with white letters reading “Gatsby’s Grille”.

Monica Mason moved to accept the application. Charlene seconded the motion. Motion passed

unanimously.

Sheila O’Brien and Michael Tarabulski presented the application for 424 Bluff St. They are

proposing a carport and solar panels. There were no clear plans for the design of the carport, so

the application was tabled until further information was available.

Other Business:

There being no further discussion or comments from the public, the meeting at adjourned at 7:30 p.m.
