City of Edwardsville Finance Committee met Nov. 1.
Here is the minutes provided by the Committee:
Present: Aldermen Craig Louer Chairman, Jack Burns, Chris Farrar and Dennis W. McCracken City Clerk/Collector.
Also Present: Tim Harr, City Administrator, Janet Stack Ward 3, Walter Williams, Economic Community Development Director, Bill Eaton, Stephenson House, RoxAnn Raisner, Stephenson House, Jeffrey Edison, Stephenson House, Olivia Klump, SIUE Student, Jay Johnson, SIUE Student, Karen Zimmerman, and Cody King, Edwardsville Intelligencer.
Quorum present, Aldermen Louer called the meeting to order at 4:30 p.m. No public comments were made.
Motion by Burns, seconded by Farrar, to approve Finance Committee minutes from October 10, 2017. Motion Carried with Louer, Burns and Farrar votingaye.
Information: Group Health Insurance Fund Report amount will be announced at Council on Tuesday, November 07, 2017.
Old Business:
New Business: Claims in the amount of $1,239,356.11 will be available for review. Forwarded to Council for approval on Tuesday, November 07, 2017.
Motion by Burns, seconded by Farrar, to approve and forward to Council the MLRMA (Illinois Municipal League Risk Management Association) for professional risk management services and coverage for the 2018 renewal in the amount of $647,420.40. Motion Carried with Louer, Burns and Farrar voting aye.
Motion by Farrar, seconded by Burns, to approve and forward to Council the Special Parks Project Funding Application for the Friends of Colonel Benjamin Stephenson House in the amount of $9,000.00. Motion Carried with Louer, Burns and Farrar voting aye.
Tourism Application Discussion
Walter Williams, Director of Economic Development Director discussed the RFP for Plum Street Development being distributed to fifty (50) developers and published in three (3) newspapers with a due date of January 19, 2018 for responses.
City Clerk McCracken Commented on the upcoming 2017 Levy and Abatement process and Council dates for action.
City Administrator Harr discussed the Budget preparation with materials distributed for Comment,
Finance Committee will meet on Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at 4:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers,
Finance Committee adjourned at 5:15 p.m.
