Tim Elliott, Paul Jackstadt, Bob Pickerell, Walmer Schmidtke Don Thompson, Judy Whitaker Ed Hagnauer, Brian Konzen

Elliott turned over to Kozer.

Kozer state that item one is a Resolution for the City’s 2018 health renewal at a increase of 5.25%; item two a Resolution for General Liability, Auto, Earthquake, Workers Compensation, Excess Insurance, Third Party Administrator, Cyber and Broker Fees that are up for approval to night; item three a Resolution for Gateway Regional Lab and Clinic rate renewal; item four a Resolution to extend FLMA for City employee up for approval; item five retiree’s 2018 health rates will increase 5.25% increase; item six the Claimant is going to appeal #16/00029.

Motion by Elliott to approve someone to speak on behalf of a sewer backup. All in Favor. All Voted Yes. I’S have it.

Spokes person stated that is was a defect in the cities fault for months we have had several back up and the church has sustained $5,000.00 in damages.

Discussion by Mayor and Council about the sewer backup.

Motion by Elliott, second by Davis to entertain that as a motion as discussed by Alderman Simpson and the Mayor. All Voted Yes. Motion Carried.

Motion by Elliott, second by Simpson to go into closed session. All voted Yes. Motion Carried.

Motion by Elliott, second by Simpson to come out of closed session. All Voted Yes. Motion Carried.

Motion by Elliott, second by Simpson that we accept the retiree’s health rate increase. All Voted Yes. Motion Carried.

Motion by Elliott, second by Simpson to accept items 1-4 on the agenda as discussed in tonight’s open session. All Voted Yes. Motion Carried.

Motion by Elliott, second Simpson to adjourn the Insurance & Safety Committee Meeting Minutes. All Voted Yes. Motion Carried.
