City of Alton Civil Service Commission met February 21.
Here is the minutes as provided by the commission:
Members Present: Terry Bristow, Jonas Janek,
Members Absent: Vicki Serales-Williams
Staff Present: Civil Service Attorney Patrick King
Guests Present: None
A motion was made by Mr. Janek and seconded by Mr. Bristow to approve the minutes of the regular meetings on February 7, 2018. Motion passed.
A Retirement Form for Melissa Seymour was signed.
A Job Description for Police Officer Lateral Entry was signed.
A Resignation Form for Jacob Potts was signed.
A Warning from the Fire Department was discussed.
Discussion was held regarding potential department advisors being present during interviews. Topic was tabled for further discussion.
Discussion was held regrading Civil Service Rule 10.04B on the topic of Probation Period Extension requests. No action was taken at this time.
With no further business, Mr. Bristow made a motion, seconded by Mr. Janek to adjourn at 8:55am.
Motion passed.
