City of Edwardsville Public Services Committee met February 27.

I.Public Comment- None

II.Items forwarded to Council:

A.Approval of Minutes from the Public Services Committee meeting of February 14, 2018: Alderman Louer made a motion to recommend Approval of the Minutes from the Public Services Committee meeting of February 14, 2018. Alderman Burns seconded the motion. All ayes. Committee forwarded to Council for information.

B.Discussion of 2018/2019 Draft Budget for Capital Improvement, Street and Bridge, and Motor Fuel Tax Funds: Public Works Staff distributed and explained potential revenues and expenditures for the 2018/ 2019 Fiscal Year. These are Items within the Capital Improvement Program, Street and Bridge, and Motor Fuel Tax Accounts. This Information will be included in the presentation by the Public Works at the Finance Committee in the coming weeks, but Staff wanted to present these accounts to the alderman for an additional review period prior to that meeting. These booklets will be distributed to all seven aldermen for their review.

III.Old Business: None

IV.New Business: Alderman Stack provided staff with a concern from a constituent about semi trucks driving on Troy Road causing their house to shake. Discussion with staff regarding load limits and roadway restrictions. Staff asked for an address so they can make sure they check the area prior to the resurfacing project.

V.Information for Council Agenda:

A.Change Order 1 and Final to Keller Construction Inc. for the Third Avenue Reconstruction Project in the decreased amount of $4,402. 95.

B.B. Public Meeting for the 2018 Madison County CDBG Application to held at Edwardsville City Hall on Monday, March 19, 2018 at 5:00 p.m.

C.Next Public Services Committee meeting will be held in the Governor Edwards Conference Room (Committee Room) of the City Hall Building on Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at 4:30 p.m.

VI.Adjournment: Alderman Lauer made a motion to adjourn. Alderman Burns seconded the motion. Committee adjourned at 5:30 p.m.
