Collinsville Community Unit School District 10 issued the following announcement on May 9.
Sixteen CHS mathletes attended the Illinois Council of Teachers of Mathematics ( ICTM) State Math Contest on Saturday, May 5, 2018 at the University of Illinois – Champaign.
Junior Jimmy Moore tied for SECOND in the state in division 3AA on the Algebra 2 test by correctly answering 18 out of 20 questions.
“First place got 19 out of 20 correct,” said Coach William Gottschalk, “This is the best any individual or team has done at the state level since I have been coach for the past 7 years!”
A great ending for a great year for the the CHS Math Team!
