Report: Collinsville spent $9,597 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at Collinsville Community Unit School District 10 is up 5 percent from five years ago, according to a Metro East Sun analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Madison County school district spent $9,103 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $9,597 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 6686 to 6435.

Collinsville's spending in 2016-17 was 26 percent lower than the state average of $12,973.
