Report: O Fallon spent $11,196 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at O Fallon Township High School District 203 is up 3 percent from five years ago, according to a Metro East Sun analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the St. Clair County school district spent $10,868 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $11,196 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 2535 to 2407.

O Fallon's spending in 2016-17 was 14 percent lower than the state average of $12,973.
