Report: Wolf Branch spent $9,537 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at Wolf Branch School District 113 is up 10 percent from five years ago, according to a Metro East Sun analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the St. Clair County school district spent $8,693 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $9,537 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 920 to 797.

Wolf Branch's spending in 2016-17 was 26 percent lower than the state average of $12,973.
