Report: Jersey spent $9,579 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at Jersey Community Unit School District 100 is up 3 percent from five years ago, according to a Metro East Sun analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Jersey County school district spent $9,277 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $9,579 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 2721 to 2589.

Jersey's spending in 2016-17 was 26 percent lower than the state average of $12,973.
