City of Edwardsville Finance Committee met March 27.

Here is the minutes provided by the Committee:

Present: Alderman Craig Louer Chairman, Jack Burns, Chris Farrar and Decnnis W. McCracken City Clerk/ Collector.

Also Present: Eric Williams, Public Works Director, Walter Williams, Economic Community Development Director, City Engineer Ryan Zwijack and Janet Stack, Aldermen Ward 3

Quorum present, Chairman Louer called the meeting to order at 5:40 p.m. No public comments made.

Motion by Louer, seconded by Burns, to approve Finance Committee minutes from March 13, 2018. Motion carried with Louer, Burns and Farrar voting aye.

Information: Group Health Insurance Fund Report will be announced at the Tuesday, April 3, 2018 Council meeting.

Old Business:

Tourism proposal from Brett Sawar, Alton Regional Convention & Visitors Bureau anticipated for discussion at April 10, 2018 Finance Committee meeting.

Building & Grounds budget and discussion of future staffing needs planned for discussion at April 10, 2018 Finance Committee meeting.

New Business:

Claims in the amount of $904,673.24 Forwarded to Council for approval on Tuesday, April 3, 2018.

Budget Discussion- Eric Williams, Director of Public Works and Ryan Zwijack, City Engineer (Discussion of Public Works, Streets, Capital Improvement, MFT, Water Sewer and Garbage).

Walter Williams, Economic Community Development Director provided comment upon change in ownership of Highway, LLC, 461 E. Vandalia and Forthcoming façade proposal.

Finance Committee will meet on Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at 5:30 p.m. in the Government Edwards Conference Room.

Meeting adjourned at 8:05 p.m.
