Alton Historical Commission met June 21.

Here is the minutes provided by the Commission:

The meeting of the Alton Historic Commission was called to order by Chairman Doug Bader at 4:33 p.m. on May 21, 2018.

Chase Green made a motion that Mary Anderson may be attend the meeting via conference call.

Doug Bader seconded the motion. Motion passed unanimously.

Applications:

Natalie Ritter with Arrow Signs presented the sign application for 200 State St. She is proposing a two new signs for Morrison’s Irish Pub. The first will replace the existing sign on State St, 14’ x 14”, white with black and gold lettering, reading “Morrison’s Irish Pub”. Two black gooseneck lights will illuminate the sign. Chase Green recommended they use four lights due to the size of the sign. A second vinyl sign, 4’ x 6’, will be applied to the brick wall across from ConAgra using heat.

Chase made a motion to accept the application as presented. Mary Anderson seconded the motion. Motion passed unanimously.

Other Business:

There being no further discussion or comment from the public, the meeting was adjourned at 4:50 p.m.
