Camp Jackson Fire Protection District responded to 112 calls in 2017 - 50.9 percent less than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Camp Jackson included 65 fires - 30 structure fires, seven vehicle fires and 28 other fires.

The department also received 47 false calls, including two malicious calls and 45 other false calls.
