Alton Amphitheater Commission met May 21.

Here is the minutes provided by the Commission:

Members Present: Michelle Brooks, Karen Baker-Brncic, Jay Hollinger, Ruth Birmingham, Dan Herkert

Members Absent: Robert Stephan, Brett Stawar

Ex-Officio & Guests: Debbie Frakes (SSP), Ed Schwegel (Schwegel’s Good Looking Kettle Corn), and Alton City Comptroller Kirby Ontis

Michelle Brooks called the meeting of the Alton Amphitheater Commission to order at 4:30pm on May 21, 2018 in the lunch room of Alton City Hall, 101 E. Third Street, Alton, Illinois.

Karen Baker Brncic made a motion, seconded by Michelle Brooks, to approve the minutes of the Amphitheater Commission’s meeting of April 16, 2018. Motion carried.

Karen Baker-Brncic made a motion, seconded by Ruth Birmingham, to approve the Amphitheater Financial Report for April 2018 provided by the Alton City Treasurer’s office. Motion carried.

Dan Herkert made a motion, seconded by Ruth Birmingham, to pay the BMI invoice for $349.00. Motion carried.

Michelle Brooks moved to layover the following wedding requests: Jordan Boucher (September 1, 2018) and Holt (August 31, 2019). Motion seconded by Ruth Birmingham. Motion carried.

Michelle Brooks moved to layover discussion of Volunteer Group Assignments and Donation of Tickets.

Motion seconded by Ruth Birmingham. Motion carried.

Michelle Brooks moved to layover action on Proposals for Kettle Corn, Snow Cones, etc. Motion seconded by Karen Baker-Brncic. Motion carried.

Michelle Brooks opened the floor to questions & comments from the public. Debbie Frakes of SSP asked about what type of concessions the Commission would be offering at the venue for 2018. Dan Herkert answered that a menu was still being finalized and someone would follow up with Ms. Frakes with the menu once finalized.

Michelle Brooks made a motion, seconded by Ruth Birmingham, to adjourn the meeting at 4:35pm.

Motion carried.
