62 percent of applicants to McKendree University were admitted for fall 2017

At McKendree University, 74 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 54 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year private not-for-profit institution in Lebanon enrolled 2,676 students in fall 2017, including 2,104 in undergraduate and 572 in graduate programs, data shows. 9.7 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

66 percent of undergraduates are residents of Illinois, and 28 percent are residents of other states. 6 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (65 percent) and Black or African American (13 percent).

The school admitted 62 percent of the 2,206 students who applied for fall 2017. Of those who were admitted, 27 percent enrolled.
