Wood River Hartford School District 15 students suspended 12 times in a single school year

Wood River Hartford School District 15 reported 12 suspensions for 2016-17, according to the latest student discipline report by the Illinois State Board of Education.

According to the report, the district expelled or suspended 12 students during the year. That equates to 1.6 percent of the 753 students enrolled.

The district reported that most in-school suspensions were given for unspecified reasons. The category includes seven incidents. For five incidents, students were suspended for 1-3 days.

The district reported that most out-of-school suspensions were given for a dangerous weapon, other than a firearm. The category includes three incidents. There were two incidents of unspecified reasons. For three incidents, students were suspended for 5-10 days.
