Collinsville Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement on Nov. 19.
It’s that time of year again! On Saturday, December 1, 2018, the City of Collinsville will host the 2nd Annual Christmas at the Collins House and Light Up Parade event.
The parade line-up will begin at 4:00pm. The parade procession will begin at 5:30pm and is expect to last for approximately one hour. Following the parade, the festivities will continue with “Christmas at the Collins House” (703 W. Main Street) where there will be a tree lighting ceremony; announcement of prize winning floats; visits and photos with Santa; Christmas caroling by The Collinsville Chorale; free hot cocoa and hot apple cider; and various family-friendly activities. Festivities at the Collins House following the parade will conclude by 8:00pm.
The City would be delighted if your business would participate in this community event by decorating your storefront window! Uptown businesses are encouraged decorate storefront windows with creative and inviting holiday themes. This is great opportunity to engage customers, attract new visitors to Uptown, and present an exciting family-friendly event for the community.
