Report: Roxana spent $12,813 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Roxana Community Unit School District 1 is up 11.4 percent from five years ago, according to a Metro East Sun analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Madison County school district spent $11,502 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $12,813 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 1903 to 1889.

Roxana's spending in 2017-18 was 3.9 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
