Report: Wood River Hartford spent $8,889 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Wood River Hartford School District 15 is up 2.1 percent from five years ago, according to a Metro East Sun analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Madison County school district spent $8,709 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $8,889 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 757 to 722.

Wood River Hartford's spending in 2017-18 was 33.4 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
