Report: Shiloh Village spent $8,542 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Shiloh Village School District 85 is down 4.7 percent from five years ago, according to a Metro East Sun analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Saint Clair County school district spent $8,967 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $8,542 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 608 to 593.

Shiloh Village's spending in 2017-18 was 36 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
