Analysis: O'Fallon administrators rank 209th in state for average pay

Administrators in O'Fallon Township High School District 203 earn an average of $111,454 per year, ranking 209th out of 864 districts in the state, according to a Metro East Sun analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card.

The 2018 average is 4.4% higher than in 2014 and 8.3% lower than in 2009. District administrators make 3.9% more than the state average of $107,279.

Administrator salaries depend on the district's size, location and resources, as well as the individual's level of experience and education, according to the Illinois State Board of Education report.

The Saint Clair County school district enrolled 2443 students in 2017-18. There is an average of 195 students for every administrator, compared to a statewide ratio of 181 to 1.
