Edwardsville Community Unit School District 7 issued the following announcement on Feb. 7.

It’s been nearly two years since Proposition E, a tax rate increase to the District 7 Education Fund, passed. During the Prop E campaign, the district vowed to use the additional tax revenues to stabilize the district’s finances, update curriculum and re-establish a curriculum development cycle as well as update school security and technology.

In a series of articles, we look at where District 7 is on its promises and what is left to achieve in the remaining two years of its four-year post-Prop E plan.

This article takes a look at the district’s finances with David Courtney, Edwardsville District 7 assistant superintendent of business operations.
