Collinsville Community Unit School District 10 issued the following announcement on Feb. 22.
From February 20-23, the Collinsville High School Leadership Class participated in the Disney Youth Programs YES (Youth Educational Series) Program at Walt Disney World in Florida.
According to teacher Kyle Gordon, “They had the opportunity to participate in leadership training sessions with Disney executives in a variety of areas.”
The CHS Leadership Class is a year-long learning opportunity based on unique curriculum developed by Mr. Gordon to expose students to leadership concepts and opportunities. They also attend school board, city council and other community meetings to learn about civic engagement.
