2018 Recap: Parolees in Collinsville convicted of crimes against persons

There were three offenders convicted of crimes against persons released on parole in Collinsville during 2018, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by the Metro East Sun.

The data shows that two men and one woman were among the parolees. The median age of the parolees sentenced for crimes against persons was 30. The youngest parolee was a 26-year-old woman sentenced in 2016, and the oldest was a 38-year-old man sentenced in 2017.

The offender who was incarcerated the longest was Makyra Jones. She was convicted of a crime against a person in 2016 when she was 23 years old. She is now 26.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below shows the 50 cities in Illinois with the most paroled offenders in 2018 who were convicted of crimes against persons.
