City of Lebanon City Council met April 13.

The council met in regular session in the council chambers with Mayor Wilken presiding. The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m.
Roll Call: Aldermen Fero, Gale, Jenkins, Johnson, Mack, Witty and Wright – present Aldermen Zurliene – absent
Mayor Wilken led the council and assembly in the Pledge of Allegiance.
Aldermen Jenkins/Fero MOTIONED to approve the agenda as presented.
Roll Call: Aldermen Fero, Gale, Jenkins, Johnson, Mack, Witty and Wright – 7 yeas.

Aldermen Fero/Witty MOTIONED to approve the consent agenda as presented minus following items: 1. Approve minutes of Special Council Meeting dtd March 30, 2020 with corrections

1. Aldermen Mack/Fero/ MOTIONED to approve pay Christ Brothers $31,480.00 for entrance to the IGA and the road between IGA and Mexico Tipico out of Utility Tax and MFT. Roll Call: Aldermen Fero, Gale, Jenkins, Johnson, Mack, Witty AND Wright – 7 yeas.

1. The council recommended using the Zoom business meeting program cost to use with future meetings. Alderman Fero with get the particulars of for next meeting.
2. The committee recommended developing a system to analyze what sidewalks and tree to remove.
Personnel – MEET May 18, 2020 at 7:00 p.m.
1. The Committee recommended a 3% increase for city employees effective May 1 to April 30, 2021, based on the current bargaining agreement. The 3% includes part time and supervisor personnel. Roll Call: Aldermen Fero, Gale, Jenkins, Johnson, Mack, Witty and Wright – 7 yeas.

Mayor –
1. The mayor said the burning of leaves ordinance is being enforced.
2. The Declaration of Emergency will stay in place until the governor releases his executive order.

Chief – The council approved to publish in the April 15th, 2020 Lebanon Advertiser a Notice of a Public Meeting for April 27th , 2020 to take place at 6:45 p.m. by virtual with the sole purpose of approving the process to purchase a New Police Vehicle. Streets/Alleys –

1. No update on Phase two (McKendree Park) or on Phase three (Merrill)
2. No update on the letter to McKendree for the parking problem on the cemetery property. 3. The grant program for sidewalks has a due date of Jan 2021. City Clerk will start the letter processing in June probably.
