55 Madison County residents in their seventies test positive for COVID-19

As of May 23, there have been 55 Madison County residents in their seventies who have tested positive for COVID-19, according to numbers being reported to the Illinois Department of Public Health.

There have been 511 residents in their seventies in the county who had been tested, meaning that 10 percent of those tested have the coronavirus. Through May 23, there have been 523 confirmed COVID-19 cases and 52 deaths from the coronavirus in Madison County.
