Kara Littlejohn, APRN, has joined HSHS Medical Group Family Medicine in Fairview Heights. She is a board-certified nurse practitioner with experience in home health, outpatient care, and gastroenterology. In addition to her nursing credentials, Littlejohn worked for over 15 years as a physical therapist assistant.
Littlejohn earned her Family Nurse Practitioner and Doctor of Nursing Practice degrees from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. Her clinical skills include advanced health assessments, wound care, chronic disease management, and working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals.
She places emphasis on preventive healthcare and patient education. "I believe empowering patients through education is key to helping them manage their own health and wellness," Littlejohn said.
