Analysis: Caseyville pays $10.18 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Washington Park Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 91 percent of the $49,974 the Washington Park Police Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $10.18 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Metro East Sun analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Caseyville contributed $45,479 to the fund, which saw a $15,169 decrease in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $4,467, or 8.9 percent, in 2018. Another $28 came from other unspecified sources.
