Analysis: Madison pays $3.06 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Madison Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 75.4 percent of the $454,998 the Madison Police Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $3.06 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Metro East Sun analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Madison contributed $342,948 to the fund, which saw a $50,736 increase in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $112,050, or 24.6 percent, in 2018.
