67 percent of applicants to McKendree University were admitted for fall 2018

At McKendree University, 74 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 53 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year private not-for-profit institution in Lebanon enrolled 2,494 students in fall 2018, including 1,951 in undergraduate and 543 in graduate programs, data shows. 9.5 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

61 percent of undergraduates are residents of Illinois, and 33 percent are residents of other states. 6 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (62 percent) and Black or African American (14 percent).

The school admitted 67 percent of the 1,750 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 31 percent enrolled.
