City of Granite City Planning & Zoning Committee met Aug. 4.

Alderman McDowell called the Planning & Zoning Committee Meeting to order.
McDowell stated that first is an Amendment to Ordinance 8799 regulating the installation of underground facilities near or around City-Owned or Utilized Utility Facilities that is up for approval in Council Meeting tonight and turned over to City Attorney Konzen.
Attorney Konzen stated that we have revised the Ordinance to have the contractors put up bonds, so that if they damage our lines, we have there bond.
MOTION By McDowell, second by Eavenson to approve an Amendment to Ordinance 8799 regulating the installation of underground facilities near or around City-Owned or Utilized Utility Facilities. ALL VOTED YES. Motion Carried.
Mayor stated we have a letter about 2861 Ralph curb cut. )
McDowell ask for a show of hand to allow the curb cut and to bring it in on the next agenda. ALL VOTED YES. Motion Carried.
MOTION By McDowell, second by Eavenson to adjourn the Planning & Zoning Committee Meeting.
