City of Granite City Police Committee met Aug. 4.

Alderman Mathes called Police Committee Meeting to order.

Mathes stated that first we have an Ordinance to authorize the Granite City School Resource Officer Program for Lake School Alternative Education Program that is up for approval tonight and turn it over to Police Chief Rozell.

Police Chief Rozell explained that the Officers would be at the school to assist the staff even if the children were not present.

MOTION By Mathes, second by McDowell to approve an Ordinance to authorize the Granite City school Resource Officer Program for the Lake School Alternative Education Program. ALL VOTED YES. Motion Carried.

Mathes stated that also up for approval tonight is an Ordinance authorizing renewal of the Granite City School Resource Officer High School Program Agreement for the 2020-2021 School Year.

MOTION By Mathes, second by Williams to approve an Ordinance authorizing renewal of the Granite City School Resource Officer High School Program Agreement for the 2020-2021 School Year. ALL VOTED YES. Motion Carried.

Mathes stated that we have another up for approval tonight an Ordinance Renewing the Granite City School Drug Education Program Agreement for the 2020-2021 School Year.

MOTION By Mathes second by Williams to approve an Ordinance Renewing the Granite City School Drug Education Program Agreement for the 2020-2021 School Year. ALL VOTED YES. Motion Carried.

MOTION By Mathes, second by Pickerell to Adjourn the Police Committee Meeting. ALL VOTED YES. Motion Carried.
