Long Lake Volunteer Fire Department responded to 54 calls in 2018 - 27 percent less than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Long Lake included 34 fires - five structure fires, four vehicle fires and 25 other fires. The fire department also responded to one call for ruptures, explosions or overheating.

In all, the department saw $11,500 in fire loss - or about $338 per fire.

The department also received 19 false calls.

The Long Lake Volunteer Fire Department had an annual budget of $465,861 in 2018.
