EAST ST. LOUIS SCHOOL DISTRICT 189: Student COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic

East St. Louis School District 189 recently issued the following announcement.

School District 189 will provide an optional COVID-19 vaccination event that is available for our students who are 12 years and older. The event will be held at East St Louis Senior High School on Friday, May 28.  East Side Health District will administer the Pfizer vaccine and the Illinois National Guard will assist with logistics. 

Please note the following details:

  • All participating students must show a photo ID card to receive a vaccination. A student ID is sufficient.
  • Students within the ages of 12-15 years old must have a parent present to sign the consent form.
  • Students within the ages of 16-17 years old will need a parent-signed consent, but the parent does not need to be physically present.
  • Students ages 18+ may sign the consent for themselves.
  • The Pfizer vaccine will be provided.  Please see attached Fact Sheet. Two doses are required.  Those receiving the first dose on May 28 will be scheduled to return in June to receive their second dose.
