City of Edwardsville Foreign Fire Insurance Board met Sept. 13.

Meeting called to order at 1304. Members present were Reiter, Wilfong, Kemper, Rieger, Whiteford. J Sweetman and Heuchert were absent.
Visitor Chief McKee was present.
Minutes from previous meeting presented and reviewed. Motion by Wilfong, 2nd by Rieger to approve minutes as presented. Motion carried 5Y, 0N.
Treasurer’s report presented. Current balance $56,676.41. Approx $27,929 remaining after outstanding approvals and regular expenditures.
Request for Expenditures – New
1. Request from Schonlau for Trager 575 Electric Pellet Grill/Smoker for station 1. Priced at $899. Motion made by Wilfong to purchase smoker and cover, not to exceed $1000. 2nd by Rieger. Discussion. 5Y, 0N. Motion carried.
2. Request from Mayfield for Decline Exercise Bench for station 1 gym. Do not currently have a full size decline bench. Multi use piece of equipment. Priced at $669. Motion by Wilfong to purchase decline bench not to exceed $750. 2nd by Kemper. Discussion. 5Y, 0N. Motion carried.
3. Request from J Sweetman for TRT equipment, radio holder, and TRT graphics – Tabled due to J Sweetman absence.
4. Multiple requests from Chief McKee for upgrades to the new Rosenbauer fire engine.
a. C-Tech toolbox and power strip be added to L1. $2,825.53 Motion by Kemper, 2nd by Rieger. Discussion. 5Y, 0N. Motion carried.
b. Cord reel to be added. Up to $3900. Motion by Wilfong, 2nd by Rieger. Discussion. 5Y, 0N. Motion carried.
c. Remove 2” valve and plumbing and replace with larger plumbing capable of flowing 500 GPM. Modify front bumper to accommodate several hose rolls. Up to $5,225. Motion by Wilfong, 2nd by Rieger. Discussion. 0Y, 5N. Motion failed.
d. Folding step for front bumper. Up to $250. Motion by Wilfong, 2nd by Rieger. Discussion. 5Y, 0N. Motion carried.
e. Fabricate and install fire extinguisher holders in side cab compartments. 1 holder (holds 2 extinguishers) per side. Up to $1500. Motion by Rieger, 2nd by Kemper. Discussion. 5Y, 0N. Motion carried.
f. Modify side pump steps to accommodate floating hose wells. 1 per side. Up to $1500. Motion by Wilfong, 2nd by Kemper. Discussion. 5Y, 0N. Motion carried.
g. Replace two (2) four inch intake/discharge gauges with two (2) six inch gauges. The four inch gauges would be retained and installed on 1310 to supplement the digital gauges. Up to $564. Motion by Kemper, 2nd by Rieger. 5Y, 0N. Motion carried.
h. Fabricate and install SCBA holder above L1 toolbox, or where best suited as determined by the truck equipment committee. 6 bottle SCBA holder. Up to $400. Motion by Wilfong, 2nd by Rieger. Discussion. 5Y, 0N. Motion carried.
