Report: Wood River Hartford School District spent $10,853 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Wood River Hartford School District 15 was up 19.9 percent from five years ago, according to the Metro East Sun analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Madison County school district spent $9,055 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $10,853 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 749 to 705 students over the same period.

Wood River Hartford's spending in 2019-20 was 25.1 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
