Jennifer Korte for State Representative has issued the following press release:

Edwardsville, IL – Jennifer Korte, candidate for State Representative in the 112th District, is calling on pro-life voters to get engaged in her race to unseat pro-abortion extremist Katie Stuart in light of a possible Supreme Court ruling to overturn Roe v Wade.

“We don’t know exactly what the Court is going to do as it is a leaked draft ruling but if true, this could be a landmark decision,” Korte said. “There will be a lot of misconception of what this ruling will mean. The ruling does not make abortion illegal but rather allows state governments to make their own laws about abortion. My opponent is going to mischaracterize this law the way she pretends her radical approach to abortion is somehow mainstream. Nothing could be further from the truth. Katie Stuart does not even support something as simple as requiring abortion clinics to maintain the same public health standards as other ambulatory surgical centers. How can someone claim to be pro-woman and not support basic safety standards to protect the very women she supposedly supports? She is an extremist when it comes to the issue of abortion and no amount of disinformation from her campaign is going to change that.”

Korte said it is imperative pro-life voters get involved in the race in the 112th District and support her campaign.

“Illinois has some of the most extreme pro-abortion laws in the country thanks to radicals like Katie Stuart,” Korte said. “These laws can be changed, but we need a change in leadership. In this election voters can choose between a radical who is bought and paid for by the abortion industry or voters can choose a mom like me who loves kids and believes our society should protect its most vulnerable citizens – unborn children.”
