Glen-Ed Pantry Launches Annual School Supply Drive

One of the Glen-Ed Pantry's largest community giveback programs is in full swing. The annual school supply drive launched on July 9 and they are in need of donations to support 350 families of District #7. Now through August 1, school supplies may be dropped off at the pantry during regular open hours, or at any of these local participating businesses:

First-Mid Bank and Trust:

Annie's Frozen Custard: 11 Illini Drive in Glen Carbon

Mojo's Music: 144 North Main Street in Edwardsville

Happy Up: 6654 Edwardsville Crossing Drive, Suite A in Edwardsville

Sam Bickel, Edward Jones: 442 South Buchanan Street in Edwardsville

The most needed school supplies are as follows:

scientific calculators, such as TI 30XIIS

USB flash drives

combination locks

ear buds

plastic folders with 3 punched holes

ink pens, red, black, and blue

black Expo dry-erase markers

washable markers, 8ct

plastic shoebox containers with lids and 8x5 plastic artboxes

graph paper

loose-leaf paper, college and wide-ruled

post-it notes

clear protractors

index cards

glue sticks

The Glen-Ed Pantry is also accepting monetary donations to purchase additional supplies.

Families with students in PreK-12th grade in ECUSD#7 may sign up to receive supplies through the pantry's website and should submit their forms by August 1.
