Q3 2021 Recap: 24 parolees from St. Clair County convicted of property crimes set for release

There were 24 offenders convicted of property crimes living in St. Clair County released on parole during the third quarter of 2021, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by the Metro East Sun.

The data shows 23 men and one woman were among the parolees. The median age of the parolees sentenced for property crimes was 34. The youngest parolee was a 21-year-old man sentenced in 2019, and the oldest was a 52-year-old man sentenced in 2020.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was David Jarvis. He was convicted in 2006 when he was 28 years old. He is now 45.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The following table shows how many offenders convicted of property crimes were paroled during the third quarter of 2021 in each Illinois county.
