Q4 2022 Recap: 2 parolees from Jersey County convicted of crimes against persons set for release

There were two offenders convicted of crimes against persons living in Jersey County released on parole during the fourth quarter of 2022, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by the Metro East Sun.

The data shows both of the released offenders among the parolees were men. The median age of the parolees sentenced for crimes against persons was 31. The younger parolee was a 25-year-old man sentenced in 2021, and the oldest was a 36-year-old man sentenced in 2021.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Brendan Stamper. He was convicted in 2021 when he was 23 years old. He is now 25.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The following table shows how many offenders convicted of crimes against persons were paroled during the fourth quarter of 2022 in each Illinois county.
