City of Edwardsville Finance Committee met Aug. 29.
Here are the minutes provided by the committee:
Alderman Jack Burns called the meeting to order at 4:32 p.m. in the Governor Edwards Conference Room in City Hall, located at 118 Hillsboro Avenue in Edwardsville, Illinois.
Roll Call: Alderman Burns, Chairman, and Alderman Krause were present. Alderman Farrar was excused.
Also Present: Jeanne Wojcieszak, Director of Finance; Kevin Head, City Administrator; and Charles Bolinger, Edwardsville Intelligencer.
No public comment was made.
Motion by Burns, seconded by Krause to approve the minutes of the Finance Committee meeting held on August 10, 2023. Motion carried with Burns and Krause voting aye.
Group Health Insurance Fund Insurance Report will be announced at the Tuesday, September 05, 2023 Council meeting.

Claims amount will be announced at the Tuesday, September 05, 2023 Council meeting.
Motion by Burns, seconded by Krause to approve and forward to Council an Ordinance Amending Chapter 106 (Taxation) Sections 106-326 of the Codified Ordinances of Edwardsville, Illinois (Municipal Hotel/Motel Tax) (FIRST READING). Motion carried with Burns and Krause voting aye.
Finance Director Jeanne Wojcieszak discussed the Munis implementation and upcoming Audit field work.
Finance Committee will meet on Wednesday, September 13, 2023 at 4:00 p.m. in City Hall.
There being no further business, meeting adjourned at 4:47 p.m.
