City of Edwardsville Public Services Committee met Nov. 14.

I. Public Comment: Alderman Warren asked for a moment of silence for former Alderman Janet Stack

II. Council Matters: 

A. Approval of Minutes from the October 31, 2023 Public Services Committee meeting:

Alderman Warren made a motion to approve with Alderman Morrison seconding the motion. All Ayes. Committee forwarded to Council for information.

B. Approval to Award the 2023 Sewer Lining Contract to Insituform Technologies USA, LLC  in the amount of $506,176.21 

Alderman Warren made a motion to approve with Alderman Morrison seconding the motion. Staff explained that this is for cleaning, televising, inspecting and lining sewers along W Dunn St., Florida St., S Charles St., Minnesota St., E High St., N Kansas St., and N Buchanan St. All Ayes. Committee forwarded to Council for consideration.

C. Approval of Change Order #4 and FINAL for the Chapman Street Improvements Contract in the increased amount of $46,767.33 

Alderman Warren made a motion to approve with Alderman Morrison seconding the motion. Staff explained that this is for changes during construction of the improvements to Chapman Street. All Ayes. Committee forwarded to Council for consideration.

A. Changing of Public Services Committee Meeting from the Typical Tuesday Date of December 26th 

Committee discussed and provided availability to staff to determine best possible date.

V. Information: 

A. Change Order #2 and Final for the Gateway Commerce Center Drive West Pavement Patching Contract in the increased amount of $5,477.21 

B. Change Order #1 for the Second Street Improvements Contract in the increased amount of $9,331.63 

C. Change Order #2 for the Second Street Improvements Contract in the increased amount of $7,209.21 

D. Next Public Services Committee meeting will be held at City Hall, 118 Hillsboro Ave. on Tuesday, November 28, 2023 at 4:30 p.m. 

VI. Adjournment: Alderman Patton made a motion to adjourn. Alderman Warren seconded the motion. All Ayes. Committee adjourned at 4:44 pm.
