City of Edwardsville Finance Committee met April 11

Here are the minutes provided by the committee:

Alderman Krause called the meeting to order at 4:02 p.m. in the Governor Edwards Conference Room in City Hall, located at 118 Hillsboro Avenue in Edwardsville, Illinois.

Roll Call: Alderman Krause, Chairman, Alderwoman Miracle were present. Alderman Farrar was excused.

Also Present: Jeanne Wojcieszak Director of Finance; Kevin Head, City Administrator; Eric Williams, Public Works Director; Cathy Hensly Communication Coordinator and Charles Bolinger, Edwardsville Intelligencer.

No public comment was made.

Motion by Krause, seconded by Miracle to approve the minutes of the Finance Committee meeting held on March 28, 2024. Motion carried with Krause and Miracle voting aye.

New Business:

Claims amount will be announced at the Tuesday, April 16, 2024 Council meeting.

Motion by Krause, seconded by Miracle, to approve and forward to Council a Resolution Establishing a Budget for the Fiscal Year Beginning the First Tuesday in May, A.D., 2024 and Ending the Monday Preceding the First Tuesday in May, A.D., 2025. Motion carried with with Krause and Miracle voting aye.

Motion by Krause, seconded by Miracle, to approve and forward to Council an Ordinance Making Appropriations for the Fiscal Year Beginning the First Tuesday in May, A.D., 2024 and Ending the Monday Preceding the First Tuesday in May, A.D., 2025 (First Reading). Motion carried with Krause and Miracle voting aye.

Finance Committee will meet on Thursday, May 02, 2024 at 4:00 p.m. in City Hall.

There being no further business, meeting adjourned at 4:50 p.m
