The district removed one student to alternative settings instead of suspending or expelling them. This equates to less than one percent of the 1,727 students enrolled.
Students were expelled for four incidents with violence that caused physical injury, 38 incidents with violence without physical injury, two incidents with alcohol and tobacco, 10 incidents with drugs, three incidents with a dangerous weapon, other than a firearm.
The district reported that most in-school suspensions were given for unspecified reasons, of which there were 105. There were 16 incidents of violence without injury. For 45 incidents, students were suspended for three to four days.
Boy students received 178 suspensions, while 72 girls were suspended.
There were 146 elementary or middle school students, and 104 high school students suspended in 2021-22 school year.
The district reported that most out-of-school suspensions were given for unspecified reasons, of which there were 88. There were 22 incidents of violence without injury. For 41 incidents, students were suspended for four to 10 days.
