§ 32.071 QUORUM.

 The Chair shall conduct the meetings in accord with Robert’s “Rules of Order Revised”. Five of 13 members shall constitute a quorum for the transaction of business. The Commission may consult with the City Attorney as appropriate. (1960 Code, § 9-3-17) (Ord. 5837, passed 1-20-1998)

6. Membership Updates – Renewal request is submitted to the Mayor’s Secretary for City Council approval, two

months prior to renewal date Erin Clifford. eclifford@belleville.net. Approvals are approved during the monthly city council meetings.

The OMA test is required to complete the renewal process. Each committee meet should send a copy of their passing certificate to Erin Clifford at the email address above. Please copy the HRC Email box bellevillehumanrelations@gmail.com

7. Roles and Responsibilities

Chair - The Chair shall preside at all meetings of the Human Relations Commission. The overarching role of the chairperson is to provide leadership and ensure the Human Relations Commission functions properly. The Chairperson is responsible for making sure that each meeting is planned effectively, conducted according to the procedures and ordinance, and that matters are dealt with in an orderly, efficient manner.  

Vice Chair - In the absence of the Chair, the Vice

Chair shall perform the duties of the Chair.

8. Erin Connors has agreed to work with us on a pro bono bases when we receive complaints
