State Representatives Charlie Meier and Kevin Schmidt have announced a joint "Coffee Talk" event at the New Baden Civic Center on Tuesday, August 20. This initiative aims to provide constituents with an opportunity to discuss issues directly with their representatives.

"Transparency is lacking in our government, and I am working to change that," said Rep. Schmidt. "Constituents deserve the opportunity to interact with their Representatives, and what better way than over a cup of coffee!"

Representatives Schmidt and Meier's district lines intersect in New Baden.

"I’m looking forward to sitting down with Rep. Schmidt in New Baden and listening to our constituents," said Rep. Meier. "I encourage anyone who wants to talk or listen to join us. Let’s work together to address the challenges we face and work together to put forward solutions."

The Coffee Talk will be held on Tuesday, August 20 from 9:00 AM – 10:00 AM at:
