Rep. Mike Bost, a U.S. Congressman representing Illinois' 12th district, recently communicated several updates and initiatives via social media. He shared details on his team's activities and legislative progress in early December 2024.

On December 3, Rep. Bost announced that his staff would be hosting mobile office hours across Southern Illinois during the month of December. This initiative is designed to provide constituents with the opportunity to speak face-to-face with casework experts for added comfort and convenience. "My staff will be hosting mobile office hours across Southern Illinois this December so you can speak with our casework experts face-to-face with comfort and convenience."

In a follow-up post on the same day, Rep. Bost encouraged constituents to visit these mobile offices if they had any questions regarding veterans’ benefits, Social Security, Medicare, or IRS-related issues among others. "Please visit with any questions you may have regarding veterans’ benefits, Social Security, Medicare, the IRS, and more."

The following day, on December 4, Rep. Bost expressed his honor at having legislation passed by the House which aims to rename the Millstadt Post Office after Cpl. Matthew Wyatt—a local Marine who lost his life defending his base in Iraq in 2004. The bill has advanced to the Senate for approval before it can be signed into law."Honored to share that my legislation renaming the Millstadt Post Office after Cpl.
